Junior Achievement Classroom Volunteer(s)Needed for Financial Literacy focused programs in area schools
Junior Achievement of WNY is looking forprofessionals in the WNY community to become classroom volunteers at WNY elementary, middle, and high schools this fall!
As a Junior Achievement volunteer you are provided with all necessary teaching materials and tools to be successful in the classroom. JA volunteers are encouraged to share their own "real world" experiences with students. JA's Kindergarten through 12th grade programs enhances the relevance of classroom learning and increase students' understanding of the value of staying in school!
Time Commitment:1 hour training for new volunteers + 5-7, 40 minute classroom visits
Class Time & Schedule:Various class times available, exact schedule determined between teacher & volunteer
What would you be presenting?
JA PersonalFinance-This program introduces students to the importance of making wise financial choices. Students explore the role that money plays in achieving personal goals throughout life. They develop planning, goal setting, and thoughtful decision-making skills that will help them protect themselves from the unexpected financial pitfalls that plague so many adults. Includes 5 Volunteer led lessons. High School Level
Volunteers Needed at: Hutch Tech High School, Kenmore East High School&Charter School for Applied Technologies
JA Economics for Success: JA Economics for Success explores personal finance and students' education and career options based on their skills, interests, and values. Includes 6 Volunteer Led Lessons. Middle School.
Volunteers needed at: Kenmore Middle School, BPS #33, Riverside High School, etc.
