To the Buffalo/WNY Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community and partner agencies:

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Deaf Adult Services of Western New York, we are announcing that Pam Kefi, Executive Director will be leaving in mid December 2011. Pam is moving to Haiti with her family as her husband has accepted a new job. The Board and staff wish to thank Pam for her dedicated service during these past two years; she has helped stabilize Deaf Adult Services during her time with us.

The Board is taking steps to ensure that DAS will continue to run efficiently and smoothly by having Pam and the new Interim Executive Director, Steve Lovi begin working together immediately to ensure a smooth transition. Steve, who is Deaf, has been working with DAS during the past two years in various roles such as grant writer, search committee consultant and with program development. The Board thanks both Pam and Steve, as well as the staff, for their commitment to the community during this transition. More details and information will be shared with the community in the next several weeks.

If you have any questions or would like to support DAS during this transition, please feel free to contact Pam Rohring at pam@smsdk12.org or Steve Lovi at steve@wnydas.org.

After December 16th, Pam Kefi can be reached at pkefi1@yahoo.com for non-DAS related business.

Kindest Regards,

Pamela Rohring, President
Deaf Adult Services Board of Directors
